This example removes most colour from an image except reds.

This is the hardest part -- using the colour selection controls to isolate the colour you want to highlight. To make it easier, use visualize and then reduce range to 0.2 or so. Now adjust sat to 0.1 and then use the hue slider to identify the right tint. Adjust sat and range and hue in turn to perfect the selection. Use feather to blend the edges smoothly.
